Doris L. Morrow Crutcher died January 5, 2011 in Johnson City, TN. Doris was born in Birmingham, AL. to Walter L. Morrow and Eunice Sullins Morrow. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Owen Lee Crutcher in 1995, and by a nephew, Mark Jon Gibson. Doris is survived by her children and their families: Charlotte C. Malone and her husband, Gordon and their sons, David and Paul; Randal Owen Crutcher and his wife, Ann Torbett Crutcher and their children, Andy, Ryan, and Mary Frances C. Matherne, her husband Craig and their children, Jake, Luke, Nick Keith Bennett Crutcher and his wife, Marty Loggans Crutcher and their daughters, Katie C. Maskew and her husband, James and their son, Owen and Candice C. Price and her husband, Dustin; Sandra C. McGaha and her husband, Michael, and their daughters, Cassie and Amie. Doris is also survived by her sister, June M. Fletcher; a niece Dorian Shine and family, and nephew Earl Gibson and family; a sister-in-law, Patsy Crutcher Worthern and family. Doris attended Samford University (Howard College) in Birmingham. She was a member of Central Baptist Church where she had been active in Womens Missionary Society and was Director of Young Womens Association several years. She taught Childrens Sunday School for thirty years, was a member of Esther Sunday School Class, the J.O.Y Fellowship, and J.O.Y Choir. She was a member of Monday Club having served as Vice President of Hoen Hope Garden Club, and was Secretary of the Johnson City Council of Garden Clubs. Doris had been a Civinette and active in P.T.A., Cub Scouts and Brownie Scouts. She enjoyed her Bridge Club friends of many years. Doris was a Realtor for over fifteen years. She enjoyed traveling with special friends. Doris loved the Lord and church, her family and home and her many friends. The burial service will be held at Monte Vista Memorial Park on Saturday January 8, 2011 for family and close friends with grandsons as Pallbearers. A Memorial Service will be held at Central Baptist Church on Saturday January 8, 2011 at 2 PM. Dr. Ronald F. Murray will officiate. The Esther Sunday School class will host a receiving of friends for friends and family immediately after the Memorial Service in the Welcome Corridor of Central Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church Library, at: 300 N. Roan St., Johnson City, TN 37601 or J.C.M.C. Niswonger Childrens Hospital at: 400 N. State of Franklin Road, Johnson City, TN 37601.
