Dorothy Louise Hobbs

Dorothy Louise 'Dot'? Hobbs, 60, of Jonesborough, died Friday, July 11, 2014 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Iaeger, West Virginia, daughter of the late Benjamin Thomas Johnson and Barbara Payne Johnson. Dorothy was a homemaker and her hobby was her family. She was a member of the Watauga First Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Clifton Hobbs; three brothers, Vernon, Walter and Thomas Johnson; five sisters, Mildred, Linda and Loretta Johnson, Betty Kilgore and Georgia Butler. Survivors include: her husband of 44 years, Ronnie Hobbs of Jonesborough; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie A. and Paige Hobbs of Jonesborough; a daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Matthew Orcutt of Jonesborough; a brother and sister-in-law(and childhood friend) Kenny and Sheila Johnson of Gray; four sisters, Mary Hopkins of Telford, Sue Brown of Johnson City, Gloria Moyer of DeMoines, IA and Barbara (husband Bob) Todd of Telford; six grandchildren, Benjamin Hobbs, Nicholas Orcutt, Andrew Orcutt, Skylar Hobbs, Kendall Hobbs and Presleigh Mitchell; several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be on Monday, July 14, 2014 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Morris '? Baker Funeral Home. A funeral service will be on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 1:00 pm in the North Chapel of the Morris '? Baker Funeral Home under the direction of Pastor Joey Murdock. A committal service will follow in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be: Benjamin Hobbs, Nicholas Orcutt, Andrew Orcutt, Chris Tipton, Matthew Orcutt and Bobby Gross. Honorary pallbearer will be: Skylar Hobbs.
