Dorothy Marie Feathers

Dorothy Feathers, 75, of 158 Flourville Road, Gray, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at the Johnson City Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was a native of Erwin but had lived in Johnson City for many years. Mrs. Feathers was a daughter of the late Alfred Earsley and Ruby Henley Harris. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Calvin Feathers, III and by three brothers.Mrs. Feathers was a member of Boones Creek Baptist Church where she was a member of the Sunshine Ladies Sunday School Class. She was loved by all who knew her.Survivors include: three daughters, Peggy Gallion of Florida, Linda Fores of Virginia and Janice Davis of Johnson City; one son, John C. Feathers, IV of Gray; seven grandchildren, Valerie and Christopher Gallion, Bryan and Jon Flores, Jason and Myoung Hee Hwang and Lisa Hwang and her husband Sean Cook, John Chae; two great grandchildren, Jacob Fouch and Justin Hwang; two brothers, Clifford Harris and Gene Harris both of Erwin; two sisters, Margaret Shelton of Greeneville, TN and Delores Sparks of Erwin. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2007 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel, under the direction of Rev. Kenneth Kyker. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2007. Burial will follow the funeral service in the Monte Vista Memorial Park on Saturday. Three grandsons Jason Hwang, Jon Chae and E. J. Flores, Sean Cook, Edward Slocum and Jon Flores will serve as pallbearers.
