Dorothy Ruth Hogan

Dorothy R. Hogan, 81, formerly of Johnson City, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2006 in the Gaston Memorial Hospital in Gastonia, NC. She was a native of New Orleans but had lived in Johnson City most of her life before moving to Dallas, NC. She was a daughter of the late Robert and Lillian Swift Nunez. Mrs. Hogan was a retired Administrative Assistant for the Department of Human Services in Johnson City, TN. She was a founding member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Johnson City. Survivors include;one daughter and son in law, Theresa and Andre Aerts of Dallas, NC; one son, Robert Hogan; three sisters, Lillian Holmes of Jonesborough, TN, Helen Wilson of Johnson City and Betty Perry of Huntsville, Alabama; several great grandchildren. Mass of Chrristian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Wednesday from St. Mary?s Catholic Church. Ftr. Gerard Finucane will be the celebrant. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at the U.S. National Cemetery at Mountain Home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the church of your choice.
