Duard J. Lee Boyd

Duard J. Lee Boyd, born March 3, 1922 went to be with the Lord on November 5, 2005 at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. A native of Sullivan County, TN, Mr. Boyd was a US Army veteran of WWII serving in Okinawa. He was preceded in death by parents, John W. and Rosa Green Boyd, step mother, Anna Boyd, sisters, Anna Carrier and Victoria Broyles, brothers, Conley and Robert Boyd and former wife, Mary Lee Greene Boyd. His survivors include present wife, Lillian Tipton-Boyd and children, sister, Virginia Boyd, brother, Gene Boyd and his wife, Jerlis, daughter, Mrs. James Huff, Bluff City, sons, Cecil Boyd, McDonough, GA and R. Leslie Boyd of Marietta, GA, six beloved grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Military graveside honors for Mr. Boyd will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, TN. Pastor Thomas Kocke will officiate. A memorial service will follow at Living Word Lutheran Church, Hwy 36 in the Midway Community.
