Dustin E. 'Stump'? Miller, 22, Bluff City, died Saturday, July 11, 2009 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. A Johnson City native, Dustin had lived in Piney Flats and Bluff City his entire life. He was a 2005 graduate of Sullivan East High School, and a member of the Chinquapin Grove Baptist Church of Bluff City. His Maternal Grandparents, Tommie and Judy Humphreys and his Paternal Grandfather, Pierce Miller precede him in death. Survivors include his Mother and Step-Father, Amy (Humphreys) Whitaker and Terry Whitaker, Piney Flats; his Father and Step-Mother, Charles and Donna Miller of Johnson City; his Paternal Grand Mother, Eveline Miller of Johnson City; and a brother, Hunter Whitaker of Piney Flats. Several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends too numerous to mention also survive. The funeral service for Dustin E. 'Stump'? Miller will be conducted at 8 PM Tuesday, July 14, 2009 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Scott Greene will officiate with a eulogy given by Mr. Eric Fields. Musical tributes will be given by Mr. Michael Guinn and the Humphreys Family. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for two hours just prior to the 8:00 PM funeral service, or anytime at the home of his Mother, Amy Whitaker, 399 Whitaker Rd., Piney Flats, or also anytime at the home of his paternal grandmother, Eveline Miller, 2611 Louise St., Johnson City. A graveside committal service will be conducted on Wednesday at 11AM in the New Bethel Cemetery. Friends and family are asked to assemble at Morris-Baker in time to leave in a 10:30 procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Christopher Whitaker, Donald Hale, Stacy Whitaker, Cory Cunningham, Chad Rhea, Brandon Norton, Jason Guinn and Michael Guinn. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Whitaker, Joey Thompson, Larry Hicks, Daniel Miller, and LeRoy Fitzgerald.
