Edith Elizabeth Nickles

Edith Elizabeth Nickles, 82, 479 Riverview Drive, Johnson City, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, January 18, 2009 at her residence. Mrs. Nickles was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. She was a daughter of the late Bill and Dora Green and was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill J. Nickles, four brothers, Haskel, Dewey, Thurman 'To'? and Virgil 'Pete'? Green and two sisters, Vona Duncan and Nellie Loudy.. Mrs. Nickles was retired from Leon Ferenbach. She was a member of Clifton View Baptist Church. Survivors include four daughters, Judy Alice Nickles of the home, Ruth Lovelace and her husband, Greg, Johnson City, Charlene Hammett and her husband, Jim, Johnson City and Helen Murray and her husband, Steve, Johnson City; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Mrs. Nickles will be conducted at 8 pm Tuesday, January 20, 2009 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home North. Pastor Claude Babb and Pastor Greg Lovelace will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 am and travel in procession to the cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Nickles Family, 479 Riverview Drive, Johnson City, TN 37601.
