Edith Ruth Barrett

E. 'Ruth'? Barrett, 79, 4120 Navaho Drive, Johnson City, went to be with her Lord, Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at Life Care Center of Gray. Mrs. Barrett lived in Quaker Hill, Connecticut before moving to Johnson City in 1984. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Walter Jeffery and Bessie Austin Jeffery. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by one sister, Reta Ann Jeffery. She was retired from Hartford National Bank in Niantic, Connecticut as Headteller. She attended Cherry Grove Baptist Church in Jonesbrough. Survivors include: her husband, Randolph Barrett, of the home; one sister Jeannette Tedesco and her husband Gary, of Johnson City; one nephew, Rev. Steven Tedesco and his wife Kristina, of Maineville, Ohio; three brothers, Ted Jeffery, of Edison, New Jersey, Charles Jeffery and his wife Ginney, of Winter Haven, Florida and Kenneth Jeffery and his wife Lucille, of Bluewell, Virginia; several nieces and nephews and their families also survive. The graveside service for E. Ruth Barrett will be conducted Saturday, June 2nd at Roselawn Memorial Park. Rev. Steven Tedesco will officiate. The graveside service will be private.
