Edna Lavonne Woodward

Edna Lavonne Woodward, 68, of 728 Austin Springs Road, Johnson City, died suddenly at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Washington County, daughter of the late James Paul and Buena Hale Cretsinger of Johnson City. Edna was owner-operator of 'Podos Market'? for over 40 years. She attended the Cash Hollow Presbyterian Church for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene 'Podo'? Woodward, and two brothers, Jack and Ronnie Cretsinger. Survivors include: her son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Patricia Woodward of Gray; a brother, Jim Cretsinger of Johnson City; five sisters, Geraldine Metcalf and Dolores Austin of Johnson City, Marie Crumley of Jonesborough, Elva Hodges and Faye Cox of Johnson City; an uncle, Carl Hale and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, May 27, 2007 at 8:00 p.m. in the South Chapel of the Morris-Baker Funeral Home under the direction of Rev. Hollace Ford. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until time of service at eight. A committal service will be conducted on Monday, May 28, 2007 in the Monte Vista Memorial Park at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home to go in procession at 10:30 a.m. Active pallbearers will be: Jeff Larimer, Darryl Cretsinger, Kyle Earp, Donnie Shealy, Terry Austin and Greg Cretsinger; honorary pallbearers will be: her brother, Jim Cretsinger and Eddie Woodward. Memorials may be made in the form of contributions to: the Arthritus Foundation, 1330 Peachtree St. NW, Atlanta, GA 30309.
