Edna D. Diehl, 88, of Johnson City, passed away, Monday, December 31, 2007 in the Johnson City Medical Center.She was a longtime Johnson City resident and a daughter of the late Torrence Leroy and Edna C. Kamp Dietz. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Rev. Harold L. Dietz and his wife Betty and by Robert C. Dietz.Edna was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Johnson City and was active in the Prime Timers and Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Capital City, Order of the Eastern Star # 146. In her younger years she sang with the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra. Mrs. Diehl was a retired secretary with Bethany Towers Retirement Center in Mechanicsburg, PA.Survivors include; one son, Kenneth Diehl and his wife, Barbara of Johnson City; one daughter, Claire A. Diehl also of Johnson City; three grandchildren, Kathy Leonard and her husband, Mickey of Johnson City, Stephan Diehl and his wife, Regina of Gray and Amiee Range and her husband Luke of Woodstock, GA; four great grandchildren, Michael and Colton Leonard and Makendra and Emily Diehl; a sister in Law, Mrs. Dorothy P. Dietz of Brookville, PA and four nieces.Funeral services will be conducted at 7:30 pm Wednesday from Our Savior Lutheran Church with Pastor Jim Nipper and Pastor Joseph Bolick officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday from Greenlawn Memory Gardens in Greenville, TN. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:30 until 7:30 pm Wednesday. For those who wish, memorials may be sent to Our Savior Lutheran Church, 212 Sunset Drive, Johnson City, TN 37604.
