Ernestine Wishon Gross

Ernestine Wishon Gross, 76, 4075 Timberlake Road, Johnson City died Saturday, January 13, 2007 at her residence. Mrs. Gross was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County and a daughter of the late Hunter and Bertha Mae Miller Wishon. She was a homemaker and a member of the Johnson City Church of God. Survivors include: her husband, Floyd E. Gross of the home; three daughters , Debbie and Brady Morris of Elizabethton, Patricia Gross Murr, deceased, and Linda Gross Leach, deceased; three sons , Stephen F. Gross of Johnson City, Bryon Douglas Gross of Elizabethton, Paul Andrew Gross of Unicoi; two grandsons who lived with her for several years, Jamie Douglas Gross of Elizabethton and Jeff Murr of Nashville; four sisters, Amanda and husband C.L. McQueen , Dessie Gobble and Lena and husband Lee Davis all of Florida, and Mary and Dick Ussary of Alabama; one brother William Clark and wife Patricia Wishon of Franklin, NC; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Ernestine Wishon Gross will be conducted at 8 PM Tuesday, January 16, 2007 in the Johnson City Church of God. Rev. Bryant Collins,Jr. and Rev. Toney Collins will officiate. The committal service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Everyone will meet at the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends at the Johnson City Church of God from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday prior to the service. Memorial gifts may be made to the Smoky Mountains Children?s Home, P.O.
