Ethel K Clark

October 24, 1911 — August 17, 2005

Ethel K. Clark, 93, formerly of 163 Chock Creek Road, Johnson City, died Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at the Life Care Center of Elizabethton. She was a native of Hot Springs, NC, daughter of the late Phillip and Alice Graham Keller and had lived most of her life in Johnson City. Ethel was a retired homemaker and member of the Happy Valley Church of Jesus Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by; her husband, James F. Clark; a son, John Clark; two daughters, Martha Chandler and Marie Treadway; two sisters, Betty Tenpenny and Bertha Case and five brothers, Luke, John, David, Robert and Simon Keller. Survivors include: four daughters, Mary Jane Painter, Greeneville, Mildred (& Robert) Shelton, Chucky, Mabel (& Jim ) Cutshall, Fraklin, NC and Margaret (& Herman) Cutshall, GA; three sons, George (& Wendy) Clark, Memphis, Bob Clark, GA and Sam (& Gayle) Clark of Johnson City; two sisters, Ruth Honeycutt, Nashville and Jenny Barnett of Hot Springs, NC, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, August 21, 2005 at the Happy Valley Church of Jesus Christ at 8:00 p.m., under the direction of Rev. Donnie Reagan and Rev. Bill Younce. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until time of service at eight, at the church. A committal service will be conducted on Monday, August 22, 2005 at the Mt. Home National Cemetery. The family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery at 9:30 a.m. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
