Etta Street

Etta Musick Street, age 97, of 172 East Highland Road, Johnson City, Tennessee, went to be with her Savior, Friday, July 21st at North Side Hospital. She was a native of Mitchell County, North Carolina but had lived most of her life in Johnson City. She was the daughter of the late Elbert and Rosie Buchanan Musick. Mrs. Street was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Street was preceded in death by her husband George Street; a daughter, Velma Moore of Johnson City; a granddaughter, Bridget Furches Proffitt of Maryville, Tennessee; a sister, Florence Wilson and three brothers, Earl Musick, Waytes Musick, and Bascom Musick, all of Erwin. Surviving are three daughters, Louise Bragg and her husband John of Johnson City, Charlotte Furches and her husband Paul of Maryville, Tennessee, Patsy L. Entz of Johnson City; two sisters, Pansy Cutlip of Johnson City and Daisy Street of Marion, NC; four grandchildren, Randall Moore and Timothy 'Tim' Entz, both of Johnson City, Hope Furches Barlow of Maryville and Brandon Unbarger of Johnson City; two great grandchildren, Brian Moore of Johnson City and Bridget Kate Barlow of Maryville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Street will be held Monday, July 24th at 8:00 PM at Morris-Baker Funeral Home North Chapel. Rev. D. C. Byrd will officiate. Family and friends are asked to meet at Roselawn Cemetery, Tuesday at 10:00 AM for graveside services and burial. Pallbearers will be Paul Furches, John Bragg, Randy Moore, Brian Moore, Tony Masucci and Brandon Umbarger. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday prior to the service time.
