Eva Smith

Eva Pollock Smith, 87, Appalachian Christian Village, died Friday, April 7, 2006 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Smith was a native of Johnson City and a resident of Florida for twenty-nine years before returning to Johnson City in 1991. She was a daughter of the late Benjamin L. and Flora Trent Pollock. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, David F. Smith, one daughter, Linda Hunter, one son, Benjamin Mack Hunter, one sister, Ida Jean, two brothers, Robert Giffin and Benjamin Pollock, Jr. She was a retired Drivers License Examiner for the State of Florida. Mrs. Pollock was a member of Austin Springs United Methodist Church and a graduate of Science Hill High School. She is survived by three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two nieces and two nephews. A graveside service for Mrs. Smith will be held at 3:30 PM Sunday, April 9, 2006 at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Reverend Jerry Fleenor will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
