Fannie Mcbride

December 25, 1925 — January 22, 2006

Fannie Lefler McBride, 80, 315 Hamilton Street, died Sunday, January 22, 2006 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. McBride was a native of Mountain City and had lived in Johnson City since 1967. She was a daughter of the late Roy Lefler and Nellie Dixon Lefler. Mrs. McBride attended Mission for Jesus Church in Hampton, TN. Survivors include three sons, Jessie R. Brown, Edward D. Brown, and Billy J. Ledford all of Johnson City; four daughters, Nancy Sue Sanders, Linda Brown and Janice Brown all of Mountain City and Mary Brown of Valley Forge; four brothers, Carl Dixon, Johnny Dixon, Jessie Dixon and Charles Dixon all of Mountain City; two sisters, Ruby Blevins and Evelyn Mitchell both of Johnson City; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Mrs. McBride will be conducted at 12:30 PM Wednesday. January 25, 2006 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. Reverend Bill Whitlock will officiate. Graveside services will follow at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, TN. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
