Floyd Benny Henderson

Floyd 'Benny' Henderson, 33, of 156 Frontage Road, Johnson City left his worldly cares behind on the morning of Monday, July 24, 2006 in Greeneville, TN. His life was cut short due to the complications of M.S. Mr. Henderson was a native of Johnson City and had lived most of his life here. He was a son of the late William Clayton and Carolyn Margaret Cozad Henderson . He was preceded in death by: his parents; and a nephew, Mark Anthony Hopson. Benny was loved dearly by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. Survivors include: two brothers, Arnold 'Ray' Henderson of Rose Hill, NC and Eddie Clayton Henderson of Oklahoma; four sisters, Debra Kay Whaley of Elizabethton, Pamela Sue Wynn of Erwin, Patty Ann Walker of Johnson City and Tracey Lee Johnson of Johnson City. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. The funeral service for Floyd 'Benny' Henderson will be conducted at 7:30 PM Thursday, July 27, 2006 in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 211 Mayflower Road, Johnson City. Elder Terry Henderson, Elder Dean McLaughlin and Bishop Rob Sonney will officiate. Music will be by Mrs. Robin Moeck, soloist. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 AM Friday in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Everyone will meet at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 10:30 AM, Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 6 to 7:30 PM prior to the service. Active pallbearers will be Douglas Wynn, John Wynn, Arthur Edminson, Steven Hopson, Mark Whaley, Douglas Wynn, Sr., Randy Walker, Jared D. Henderson, and Bobby Erwin. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Hopson, Sr., Cory Rae Wynn, and Carl Head.
