Obituary: Frances S. Glass Frances S. Glass, 80, 1618 Ferrell Drive, Johnson City died Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at her residence. Mrs. Glass was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. She was a daughter of the late Samuel and Edith Laws Slagle. Mrs. Glass was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy D. Glass in 2003 and a brother L.I. Slagle. Survivors include :one son and daughter-in-law, Lonnie W. and Leslie Glass of Johnson City; two daughters, Kathy J. Stanton of Elizabethton and Donna K. Glass of Johnson City; two brothers, Tom Slagle and Gene Slagle both of Johnson City; five sisters, Mary Tipton and Lorena Campbell, both of Jonesborough, Jackie Markland, Yvonne Cole and Tonya Bennett, all of Johnson City; two grandchildren, Daniel K. Stanton and Lindsey Chesser; several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Frances S. Glass will be conducted at 8 PM Friday, May 26, 2006 in the Morris-Baker North Chapel. Rev. Larry Barr will officiate. The graveside service will be conducted at 11 AM Saturday in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Everyone will meet at the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 6 to 8 PM Friday prior to the service. Friends may also visit the family at the residence of the son and daughter-in-law, Lonnie and Leslie Glass, 112 Unaka View Road ,Johnson City at anytime. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the Nurses, C.N.A.?s and staff of the Johnson City Medical Center Hospice.
