Franklin Delanore Lewis

March 14, 1941 — November 12, 2005

Franklin Delanore Lewis, 64, of 181 Miller Street, Limestone, died Saturday, November 12, 2005 at the Johnson City Medical Center after a brief illness. Mr. Lewis was a native of Cater County, raised in Fish Springs and had lived in Limestone for the last twenty years. He was a son of the late, William and May Walsh Lewis. Franklin was a self employed plumber and had been a former employee of the Volunteer Natural Gas Company for 18 years. He was member of the Fish Springs Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Lewis and Ray Lewis. Survivors include: his wife, Linda Rosenbaum Lewis of the home; two sons, Michael R. Lewis and Daryl L. Lewis both of Limestone; a daughter, Candy M. Saults, Conklin; three sisters, Frances Reese of Butler, Betty Stout of Akron, OH and Shirley Caruso of Johnson City; five grandchildren, Kayla M. Owens, Deanna Owens, Kelsey L. Lewis, Hunter J. McCurry and Keri Lewis, several nieces and nephews. A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at the Morris - Baker Funeral Home in the South Chapel at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at the funeral home. A committal service will follow the funeral service on Tuesday, November 16, 2005. The family and friends will go in procession to the Bethesda United Methodist Church Cemtetery, 4708 Cherokee Road, Jonesborough. Active pallbearers will be: Bill Keys, Wayne Wright, Steve Maupin, Chris Smith, David Saults, Mike McCurry and Bobby Arnold.
