Fred Eugene Wright, 82, 2171 Taylor Ave., Elizabethton, died Thursday, September 22, 2005 at the James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center at Mountain Home. Mr. Wright was a native of Johnson City and had lived in Elizabethton for the past few years. He was a son of the late Nathaniel G. and Molly Lupus Wright and was also preceded in death by five sisters and six brothers. Mr. Wright was retired from the US Army after twenty-nine years of service and was a veteran of WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was of the Holiness Faith. Mr. Wright is survived by his companion, Georgia Sue Wright, Johnson City; one son, Larry E. Wright, Sr., Atlanta, GA; two brothers, George Wright, Bowling Green, KY and John Wright, Orlando, FL; two grandchildren, Larry E. Wright, Jr. and Krista M. Wright both of Atlanta, GA and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Mr. Wright will be conducted at 8 PM Monday, September 26, 2005 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. Reverend Edward Davis will officiate. Military graveside services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday at Mountain Home National Cemetery under the direction of the Kingsport VFW Post #3382. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Bernard Plunk, Thomas Sellers and members of the Apostolic Christian Church
