Gary Lynn Anderson

May 16, 1946 — January 15, 2016

Mr. Gary Lynn Anderson, 69 of Limestone, received his new heavenly body on January 15, 2016. He passed peacefully at home, surrounded by his family. Gary was born May 16, 1946, in Washington County to Harold and Dimple Anderson. He attended Washington College Academy, where he later served as the President of the Washington College Academy Alumni Association. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and retired from AT&T to come back to purchase a farm in Limestone as a second career. In recent years, he answered the call to serve as a mobilization missionary through Church Renewal Journey and the North American Mission Board. In all of his endeavors, he lived out his passions and never met a stranger. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Beth Anderson (Britton); his sons and their spouses, Charles and Melanie, Michael and Roxanne; two grandchildren; his brother, Charles Joseph; sisters Swanita Mynatt and Millie Anderson; and his church family at CrossLife Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to CrossLife Church (4 Wesley Court, Johnson City, TN), or North American Mission Board (P.O. Box 116543, Atlanta, GA 30368). Donations of flowers will be given to local hospitals to encourage patients. The family of Mr. Gary Lynn Anderson will receive friends from 5 pm ? 7 pm Monday, January 18, 2016 and from 10 am ? 11 am Tuesday, January 19, 2016 in the Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 am Tuesday in the Morris-Baker Dogwood Chapel. Pastor David Anglin and Pastor David Fields will officiate. The graveside committal service will follow in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, in Limestone.
