Gertrude Tibbs Ezell

Gertrude Ophelia Tibbs Ezell joined her Heavenly Father on January 20, 2012. She resided in Jonesborough; TN. Ms. Ezell was born on May 17, 1912 in Nashville, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Clarence Dewitt and Mamie Andrews Tibbs. She was a school teacher in Davidson County, Tennessee for over thirty years. She is survived by her two daughters, Dorothy Ezell Jordan and Anita Ezell Fisher; grandchildren, Michael Jordan, Debbie Jordan, John Fisher and Andrew Fisher; great grandchildren that she adored and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers Vincent Tibbs, Russell Tibbs; sisters Elizabeth Gillespie and Mamie Eleanor (Kay) West. Her strong unwavering faith in Christ has carried her through to this peaceful end. Plans for her internment are being arranged in accordance to her wishes at Morris-Baker Funeral Home in Johnson City, Tennessee.
