Gloria Jeannette Woodfin

Gloria Jeannette Woodfin, age 52, of Johnson City, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 9, 2022.

A lifelong native of Johnson City, Gloria was born October 7, 1969, to the late Clyde C. Woodby and Laura Catherine Tolley Woodby. Gloria was a talented woman who wore many hats over the years. She was a Registered Nurse, she worked in the tobacco fields, and she was a woodworker who crafted rocking chairs.

Gloria was a loving mother; she would even take in her children’s friends into the home, and she loved them as her own. Everyone she crossed paths with fell in love with her.

In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ruptha Woodby Hopkins.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Laura Woodfin (and fiancé, Keith McNabb); son, RJ Woodfin; grandson, Chase McNabb, who in the short time they got to spend together they had become inseparable; two brothers, Archie Woodby and Robert Woodby; special friends, Ray Woodfin, Penny Davis, Larry “Cotton” Smith, and Craig “Shorty" Reed.
