Graham Epperson Sells

Graham E. Sells, of Jonesborough, passed away Friday, July 8, 2005 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a son of the late John Harrison Sells and Ada Tyree Sells. He was a native of Washington County and most recently was a resident of Jonesborough. He was born on April 14, 1939. He resided in Gray, TN until the age of 17 at which time he enlisted in the United States Army. He was a 22 year U. S. Army retiree and a veteran of the Korean War. He also retired from the Veterans Administration Hospital in Johnson City. Graham enjoyed collecting western memorabilia and was once featured on Cable Country with his western collection, which he dearly loved. He was a true cowboy at heart and was devoted to the old silver screen cowboys. Graham is survived by his wife of 44 years, Betty Payne Sells; two sons, Michael A. Sells of Jonesborough and Ronald Paul Sells of Johnson City; three daughters, Debra R. Sells of Kingsport,Linda C. Coggins of Limestone and the late Rebecca A. Sells of Jonesborough; ten grandchildren, the late Tony W. Strickland, II, Candace Sells, Josh Longworth, A. J. Coggins, Joe Longworth, Mikey Sells, Jr., Ronald 'Moe' Sells, Jessica Longworth, Brittany Sells and Jennifer Longworth; five Brothers, Fred Sells, the late Johnny Sells, Clifford Sells, Tully P. Sells and Ronnie K. Sells; one sister, Delores Ann Moore. A funeral will be conducted at 8:00 PM Monday from the Morris-Baker South Chapel with the Rev. Darrell Slagle officiating. Burial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, from the Washington County Memory Gardens. Graveside Military Honors will be conducted by V. F. W. Post # 3382 of Kingsport . Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 10:30 AM Tuesday and proceed to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Josh Longworth, Moe Sells, A. J. Coggins, Mikey Sells, David Sells, Bobby Green, Joe Longworth, Patrick Sells and Tommy Sells. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday.
