Gregory William Dugger

Greg W. Dugger, 54 of 215 Orleans Street, Johnson City, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2006 at his residence. He was a native of Johnson City and had lived here most of his life. He was a son of Lucille Whittaker Dugger of Johnson City and the late Robert Dwight Dugger. Mr. Dugger was a member of the Tacoma Church of God.. Mr. Dugger was an Educator having taught at Georgia Southern University and East Tennessee State University. He obtained his B.S. Degree in Pharmacy from Auburn University graduating #1 in his class. He received his Masters Degree in Public Health from East Tennessee State University. He also took Doctoral courses in this field from The University of South Carolina. He had graduated from Science Hill High School and played on the football team in 1970. Mr. Dugger will be missed by his family and friends whom he loved more than himself. He was appreciated most for his intellect, wit and generosity. Survivors in addition to his mother include; one son, Robert W. Bo Dugger of Johnson City; one brother, Edward 'Eddie' Dugger and his wife, Linda of Middleburg, Fla. Memorial services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Saturday from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home North Chapel. Rev. Wayne Absher will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:30 until 7:00 PM Saturday. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Tacoma Church of God, Library Fund, 1005 John Exum Parkway, Johnson City, TN 37601 or to Family expenses, c/o Lucille Dugger, 215 Orleans Street, Johnson City, TN. 37601.
