Grover Jennings Bud Cooper

February 4, 1913 — June 19, 2006

Grover 'Bud' Jennings Cooper, 93, 1000 East Chilhowie Ave., died Monday, June 19, 2006 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Cooper was a native of Carter County, a former resident of Miami, FL and had lived in Johnson City since 1984. He was a son of the late William H. and Jennie Houston Cooper. His wife, Ruth L Tribble Cooper and three sisters, Mary Edna Thomas, June Smith and Mildred Hegler, preceded Mr. Cooper in death. Mr. Cooper was a WWII US Air Force veteran and had served in the North African Theater. He was a retired Air Craft Mechanic with United Airlines with over 38 years of service. Mr. Cooper was a member of Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church and the Maryville, TN Masonic Lodge. He was survived by several nieces and nephews. A graveside service for Mr. Cooper will be conducted at 2 PM Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Reverend Jerry Honeycutt will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:45-1:45 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
