Harold Dean Goodman

April 15, 1942 — November 7, 2006

Harold Dean Goodman, 64, 134 Kate Street, Gray, died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 7, 2006. Mr. Goodman was a native of Sullivan County and had lived in Washington County most of his life. He was a son of the late J.D. and Elizabeth Friday Goodman. Mr. Goodman was self-employed in real estate. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and a graduate of Boones Creek High School. Mr. Goodman was a US Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Shadden Goodman; one son, Craig Goodman, Gray; one grandson, Brody Goodman, Gray; a very special brother, Bruce Reed and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Goodman will be conducted at 10:30 AM Friday, November 10, 2006 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home North Chapel. Reverend Toonie Cash and Reverend Samuel Siebo will officiate. Graveside services will follow at Washington County Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Active pallbearers will be Kevin Beckett, Jerry Lovegrove, Richard Shadden, Roy Jones, Brad Jones, Tom Sahlin, Bill Blankenship, Bill Mathis and Bruce Reed. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Rottenberry, Richard Johnson, Dan Breeding, Ronnie Hood, Denny Friday, David Friday, Bo Shadden, Jon Roark, Junior Hyatt, Ron Byrd and Mark Fetters. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Gray United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 2108 Oak Street, Gray, TN 37615.
