Harry J. Shull

Harry J. Shull, 81, Johnson City died Saturday, January 27, 2007 at the James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Mr. Shull was a Hampton, TN native, a former resident of Asheville, NC and had lived in Johnson City for the past 20 years. He was a son of the late William 'Bill' and Maggie Cornett Shull and was also preceded in death by his wife, Frances C. Shull and daughter-in-law, Edna Kay Shull. Mr. Shull was a WWII US Navy veteran. He was an employee of Morris-Baker Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Mr. Shull was a member of Westerly Heights Baptist Church, the Rhea Masonic Lodge and a former member of the Jericho Shrine Temple. Survivors include one son, Ralph J. Shull, Johnson City, one daughter, Linda C. Starnes and her husband, Frank, Jonesville, VA; one granddaughter, Angela C. Starnes, Louisville, KY and one grandson, C.J. Shull, Johnson City. Funeral services for Mr. Shull will be conducted at 8 PM Tuesday, January 30, 2007 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. Reverend Lawrence Pack will officiate. Military graveside services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 1:30 PM and travel in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 W. Farris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
