Helen Elizabeth Elliott Babb, 55, of Johnson City, died Thursday, October 24, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Babb was a Johnson City native and a daughter of the late James Dewey Elliott, Jr. and Shirley Lee Copas Elliott. Mrs. Babb loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed flowers and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her beloved husband, Marvin Dwight Babb; brother, David Wayne Elliott; and sister, Brenda L. Oliver. She is survived by: one daughter, Ashlee Babb Green (Brandon Rutledge); two sons, Travis Dwight Babb (Becky Brewer) and Jason Babb; seven grandchildren, Makaela Elizabeth Marie Green, Maliyah Desiree Helen Green, Damion Dwight Babb, Chloe Babb, Chad Babb, Gavin Babb, and Sierra Babb; two sisters, Theresa (Steve) Case and Penny Livingston; and three brothers, Robert (Linda) Copas, Billy Joe (Tammy) Elliott, and Michael J. Elliott. A funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, October 27, 2013 at 7:00 PM in the Morris-Baker South Chapel under the direction of Pastor Dan Case. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Committal services will be conducted 1:00 PM Monday in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be: Brandon Rutledge, Steve Case, Sr., Steven Case, Jr., Travis Babb, Jason Babb, and Ben Livingston. Honorary pallbearers will be: Chad, Damion, and Gavin Babb, and Sammy Case. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 12:20 PM Monday to go in procession to the cemetery for those services.
