Helen Louise Lynch

Helen Louise Lynch, age 84, of Johnson City, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2010 at the Center on Aging and Health. She was born in Erwin, Tennessee, a daughter of the late James Buchanan and Jennie Pearl Clear Lamie. Mrs. Lynch was a resident of Erwin and Johnson City her entire life and attended Living Word Lutheran Church. She retired from Kings Department Store where she had worked as a retail buyer for nearly 25 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Lamie. Mrs. Lynch is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, David V. Lynch; one daughter, Suzy Cradic and husband Steve, of Johnson City; one son, David Blevins and wife Lisa, of Johnson City; seven grandchildren, Drew Cradic and wife Sharon, of Johnson City, Kurt Cradic and wife Jasmin, of Kingwood, TX, John Cradic and wife Michelle, of Johnson City, Jeffrey Blevins, of Johnson City, Stacy Dorough, of Wilmington, NC, Ryan Blevins, of Knoxville, and Megan Blevins, of Johnson City; ten great grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Hilton, of Johnson City, and Ruth Schappert and husband Bob, of Oak Park, IL; one sister-in-law, Betty Lamie, of Erwin, TN; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, December 22, 2010 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Reverend Thomas Kock officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday morning, December 23, 2010 in the Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Living Word Lutheran Church, 5210 North Roan Street, Johnson City, TN., 37615 or to the Johnson City Animal Shelter, 525 Sells Avenue, Johnson City, TN., 37604.
