Helen Marie Moody

Helen Marie Moody, 70, 705 Pardee Street, died Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at Asbury Place. Mrs. Moody was a Carter County native and had lived most of her life in Washington County. She was a daughter of the late Lois Shell Shutak and was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Mrs. Moody was a LPN and was retired from the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She attended Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Moody was a member of the Johnson City Seniors Center and a supporter of The Samaritans Purse. Survivors include her brother, Ellis Shell and his wife, Irene of Johnson City. A funeral service for Mrs. Moody will be held at 8 PM Thursday, March 9, 2006 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home North Chapel. Reverend Paul Crowe will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Friday at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 12:30 PM and travel in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
