Jackie E. Williams

Jackie ?Jack' Eugene Williams, 86, Gray, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019, at James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. Jackie was born in Erwin, TN to the late Dollie and Bacus Williams. Jackie retired from CSX transportation after 43 years. He earned rank of Corporal during his service in the U.S. Army and was a sharp shooter. He was stationed in Germany during the Korean conflict. In addition to his parents, Jackie was preceded in death by: his wife, Shirley Williams; and one brother, Harold Williams. Survivors include: three sons, Tim Williams and his wife Betty, of Limestone, David Williams and his wife Stephanie, of Johnson City, and Danny Williams, of Johnson City; three sisters, Helen Mastriano and her husband Matt, of AZ, Lois Smith and her husband Carlos, of Johnson City, and Wanda Radford and her husband Willie, of Unicoi; one brother, Luther Williams and his wife Lois, of Erwin; grandchildren, Brittany and Bailey Williams, of Johnson City, and Savannah Williams and James Viar, of Limestone; and several nieces and nephews. Special thank you to the staff at the VA CLC for the care they provided to Jackie during his time there. The family of Jackie Williams will receive friends from 12 PM ? 2 PM Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at Morris-Baker. The funeral will follow at 2 PM with Rev. Harold Jones officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The committal service will follow at 3 PM at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery by 2:45 PM.
