James Earl Carroll

September 9, 1917 — January 9, 2006

James Earl Carroll, 88, of 609 Hollyhill Road, Johnson City, TN Died Monday, January 9, 2006 at his residence. Mr. Carroll was a native of Bandy, KY and had lived in Johnson City since 1960. He was a son of the late John B. and Lillie Mae Duncan Carroll. He was a retired sales manager with the National Industrial Epoxy. Mr. Carroll was a veteran of WW II serving in the Army and Air Force. He was a member of Masonic Lodge # 930 in Loyall, KY., the Scottish Rite, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Washington County Shrine Club. He was a former member of the Johnson City Civitan Club and the United Commercial Travelers. Mr. Carroll is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Charleen Mullins Carroll in 1989 and a sister, Gaynelle Baumgardner. Survivors include: a brother, Edward C. Carroll of Knoxville,TN; two sisters, Lorene Terry of Saltville, VA and Doris Kooch of Seattle, WA; several nieces and nephews including Nadine Baumgardner of Johnson City, TN. A Masonic Funeral service for James Earl Carroll will be conducted at 2 PM Wednesday, January 11, 2006 in the Morris-Baker North Chapel. The Johnson City Masonic Lodge will officiate. Interment will follow in the Lee Memorial Gardens in Pennington Gap, VA. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 1 to 2 PM Wednesday prior to the service.
