James "Junnie" Robertson, Jr.

James "Junnie" Robertson, Jr., age 73, of Johnson City, Tennessee, entered eternal rest on Monday, May 16, 2022.

He leaves behind a beautiful legacy filled with love, family, perseverance and faith.

James was born December 13, 1948 to the late James Robertson, Sr. and Rosa Lee Cooper Robertson in Hollins, Virginia.
He was educated in Salem, Virginia and graduated from Carver High School.

James was an entrepreneur, owning several small businesses in Virginia and Treasures Old and New in Gray, Tennessee. He was also a salesman for Zak’s Furniture and Grand Home Furnishings.

James was a faithful member of Calvary Church in Johnson City, TN.

He was a talented painter and framer, he enjoyed gardening and feeding the birds, and he loved animals.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela; a son, James; siblings, Charles, Dianna, and Joseph; and special paw friends, Fluffy, Pete, and Benji.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Margaret; children, Lisa (George), Shana, and Kenneth (Khia); grandchildren, Nathaniel, Brooke, Britney, Makatlyn, Derrick, Lexi, Aerial, Xavier, Kenneth III, Kieran, Kaulen, Kade, Taylor, and Brandt; siblings, Thomas (Retta), Melvin, Calvin (Louisa), Brenda, Shelby, and Gregory (Natasha); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will begin at 2:00 pm, under the direction of Reverend Thomas Harper, with a reception immediately following the funeral.
