Jeffery Dean Showman

Jeffery Dean Showman, age 55, of 302 Willowbrook Drive, Morganton, North Carolina died Sunday, May 15, 2005 at his residence. He was a native of Johnson City and had lived there until moving to Morganton in 2003. He was the son of the late Lonnie L. Showman and Hazel Rebecca Ramsey Showman. Mr. Showman had been employed as a respiratory therapist for United Medical. He was a graduate of University of Tennessee with a degree in drama. He also was a licensed respiratory therapist having graduated from California School of Health Services. In addition to his parents, a brother, Jack Showman, preceded Mr. Showman in death. Two brothers, Jim Showman of Augusta, Georgia and Ken Showman of Sulphur Springs and two sisters, Rebecca Showman of Morganton, North Carolina and Sara S. Dawidziak of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, survive him. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Showman will be held Tuesday at 8:00 PM at Morris-Baker Funeral Home North Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, prior to the service. Family and friends are asked to meet at Monte Vista Memorial Gardens at 10:00 AM Wednesday for graveside services and burial.
