Jerome D. J.D. Buck

Jerome D. ?J.D.' Buck, 78, of Johnson City, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 1, 2015 in the Johnson City Medical Center. J.D. was a native of Johnson City. He was a son of the late Ira Nathaniel and Mary Ruth Jenkins Buck. J.D. retired from Fluor Daniels Construction of Kingsport. He was a member of Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: sister, Frances Buck Hicks, of Jonesborough; and brothers, Odell Buck, of Jonesborough, and Edgar Buck, of Johnson City Survivors include: his wife, Joyce Leonard Buck, of the home; one son, Chad Buck, of the home; one sister, Faye Miller, of Narvon, PA; two brothers, David Arnold, of Jonesborough, and Arthur, of Johnson City; sisters-in-law, Jan Cansler, and her husband Mike, and Betty Leonard; special great niece and nephew, Claire and Greyson Nave; and several nieces and nephews. The family of J.D. Buck will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm Thursday, June 4, 2015 in the Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 pm Thursday in the chapel. Rev. Paul Crowe and Pastor Howard Ray will officiate. The graveside service is scheduled for 2 pm Friday, June 5, 2015 in Monte Vista Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Minister, family, and friends are requested to meet at Morris-Baker by 1:30 pm Friday to go in procession to the cemetery for those services.
