Jimmy Harold Lilly

December 19, 1942 — January 9, 2007

Jimmy H. Lilly of 2 Red Fern Circle, Johnson City, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, January 9, 2007 in Wellington Place of Johnson City following a lengthy illness. He was a son of the late Albert and Dona Barnett Lilly. Jim was a founding member of Mountain View Baptist Church where he served in several capacities, including Deacon, Children?s Church Director and Youth Leader. He most recently worshipped at Grace Fellowship. Jim was a sales representative for Cambron Insurance for over 20 years.. He was in the U. S. Marines and had formerly worked for the F. B. I. In Washington D. C. Survivors include his wife, Becky Cambron Lilly; two sons, Jimmy Lilly of Snellville, GA and Jesse Cambron Lilly of Knoxville; one daughter, Meaghan Lilly of Johnson City; one Grandson, Justin Lilly; his father and mother in law, Rev. James and Margaret Cambron one sister, Mildred Lawing of Greenville, TN; two Aunts, Mary and Ruth Lilly and a very special Aunt, Olive Barnes and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Thursday from the Morris-Baker South Chapel. The Rev. James Cambron and the Rev. James McNeill, Director of The Well Ministries will officiate. Burial services will be conducted from the Monte Vista Memorial Park at 11:00 AM Friday. The family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 10:30 AM Friday and proceed to the cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Thursday. Jim was blessed with the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Africa. So in lieu of flower the family asks for memorial contributions to Mountain View Baptist Church Romanian Mission Fund, 3005 Bristol Hwy., Johnson City, TN 37601. A very special thank-you to Jim?s father in law, James Cambron, who has been a devoted father on a daily basis, and to Dr. Frank Johnson, Jim?s brother in law who was always there for him day and night. To the staff of Wellington Place, thank you for your patience and care during the past six years. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. II Timothy 4:7.
