Jimmy Lee Johnson

Jimmy L. Johnson, 61, of Claude Simmons Road , Johnson City died Sunday, April 2, 2006 at the James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center at Mountain Home. Mr. Johnson was a native of Jonesborough and had lived most of his life in Johnson City. He was a son of Willie Fay Vaughn Johnson of Johnson City and the late Frank L. Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a US Navy veteran. He was of the Baptist faith. One daughter, Michelle Johnson, one brother, Larry Johnson and one sister, Sandra J. McCray, preceded Mr. Johnson in death. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include: one son, Brian Johnson, Paducah, KY; four sisters, Rita Taylor, Gray, Teresa Hathaway and Linda Johnson both of Johnson City and Frankie 'Tiny' McCray, Bartlesville, OK; one brother, Ed Johnson, Taylor, SC; two grandchildren; a special friend, Mary Gunn of the home and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service for Jimmy L. Johnson will be conducted at 2 PM Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at Carr Cemetery. His cousin, Mr. Buster Copas will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:30- 1:30 PM Wednesday at the Morris-Baker Funeral Home.
