Joan P. Webber, died Sunday, November 11, 2007 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Webber was a Seymour, Connecticut native and had lived in Johnson City for the past 28 years. She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Victoria Barbour Sarkes and was also preceded in death by one brother. Mrs. Webber was a loving mother, grandmother, dedicated wife and an avid bridge player. Mrs. Webber was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, James F. Webber; five children, eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild; son, James J. Webber and his wife, Nancy, Maryville; grandson, James A. Webber and Alexander J. Webber, son, Thomas E. Webber and his wife, Debbie, Huntsville, AL; grandson, Austen T. Webber, daughter, Tracy Webber Fleenor and her husband, Gary, Johnson City, grandson, Jason E. Fleenor and his wife Laynee, great grandson, Jason J. Fleenor, grandson, Patrick W. Fleenor and granddaughter, Katie M. Fleenor, son, David M. Webber and his wife, Melinda, Mobile, AL, granddaughters, Lauren A. Webber and Jennifer M. Webber and grandson, Ethan M. Webber, daughter, Karen Webber Clements and her husband, Keith, Knoxville, granddaughters, Syndney A. Clements and Jenna N. Clements; five sisters, one brother and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 8 PM Tuesday, November 13, 2007 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. Father Gerard Finucane will be the celebrant. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, TN. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 AM and travel in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family members. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to St Jude Childrens Research Hospital, P.O. Box 318, Memphis, TN 38101.
