Joseph C. Sharp, 93, 1907 Dave Buck Road, died Friday, July 1, 2005 at Asbury Place. Mr. Sharp was a native of Craft, TX and had lived in Johnson City since 1928. He was a son of the late Joseph N. and Cora Mitchell Sharp. Mr. Sharp was a former manager of Thomas Kadues Shop and Glenmore Clothing, Johnson City and a former employee of Cox Oldsmobile, Kingsport, TN. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. Mr. Sharp was a member of the Johnson City Masonic Lodge #486, the Thomas E. Matson Chapter #131, Holston Council #101, Watauga Commandry #25, York Rite Association, Scottish Rite Association, Charter Member of the Jericho Shrine Temple, Johnson City and Washington County Shrine Club and a member of the Royal Order of Scotland. He is survived by one niece, Mary Eunice Songy, New Orleans, LA and one nephew, Frank Dunlap, New Orleans, LA and a special friend for many years, Birta Harsbarger, Johnson City. A funeral service for Mr. Sharp will be held at 8 PM Tuesday, July 5, 2005 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home North Chapel. Reverend r. Willard Warfield will officiate. Masonic Rites will follow under the direction of Johnson City Masonic Lodge #486. Graveside services will be held at 10 AM Wednesday at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery. Pallbearers will selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
