I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.' Joseph D. McCullough, Johnson City, passed away Thursday morning, March 8 at Asbury Place. His parents, John T. and Mattie L. McCullough, preceded Joe in death. He was a native of Roanoke, VA and had lived in Johnson City for several years. Joe was a US Army veteran. He attended Tri-Cities Church of God and was a volunteer at James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Joe is survived by his loving wife and soul mate, Marilyn McCullough, step daughter, Janet Sherman and her husband, Steve, of Chattanooga, TN; sons, Joey McCullough of Jupiter, FL and John S. McCullough, of Nashville, TN; three brothers, Thomas L. McCullough, of Portsmouth, VA, David L. McCullough and his wife, Lois, of Roanoke, VA and Timothy McCullough and his wife Mina, of Okinawa; three sisters, Janet Blount and her husband, George, of Carthage, TN, Dutchie Farris and her husband, Gerald, of Roanoke, VA and Joyce Monast and her husband, Pete, of Bristol, TN and two grandchildren, Steve and Sarah Gunter of Chattanooga, TN. Funeral service for Joe McCullough will be conducted at 6 PM Sunday, March 11, 2007 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. Reverend Richard Bawgus and Reverend Jason Bawgus will officiate. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11 AM Monday, March 12, 2007 at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, TN. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Pete Monast, Steve Sherman, Keith Reece, Mickey Bowman, Ken Garland and Earl Stone. The family will receive friends from 4-6 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
