Joseph Vincent Pinyard, Sr.

Joseph Vincent Pinyard, Sr. age 80 of 127 Chestnut Ridge Drive, Jonesborough, TN died Monday, October 23, 2006 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Pinyard was a native of Philadelphia, PA, was a former resident of Atlanta, GA and came to reside in Jonesborough in 2000. He was a son of the late Thadeus S. and Margaret McCoy Pinyard. Mr. Pinyard was retired from the retail hardware business and was a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II. Mr. Pinyard is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Myra Reynolds Pinyard in December 2005. Survivors include: a son and daughter-in-law,Dr. Joseph Vincent Pinyard, Jr. and wife Suzy of Jonesborough; one daughter, Patricia Marie Rainwater of Jonesboro, GA; a special friend, Jean Miller of Jonesborough; one brother, Thomas F. Pinyard of Philadelphia; one sister, Elizabeth Mattai of New Jersey; six grandchildren, Jeremy Pinyard of Jonesborough, Kelly Bowron of DohaQuatar, Christy Harris of Greeneville, TN, Kilraine Pinyard of Johnson City, Russell Rainwater of Jonesboro, GA., and Robbyn Way of Griffin, GA; five great grandsons; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends after 5 PM Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at the residence of the son and daughter-in-law, 127 Chestnut Ridge Drive, Jonesborough. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Doe River Gorge, P.O. Box 791, Elizabethton, TN 37644.
