Joyce Denton

Joyce Denton, age 88, of Piney Flats, Tennessee, passed away at home after a lengthy illness on Sunday, December 15, 2019.
Joyce was born on November 8, 1931 to Howard McIntosh Little and Verttie Humphreys Little in Watauga.
Joyce was a woman of Christian faith. She loved reading, crocheting, and knitting. Joyce handmade many wedding dresses for those she loved with incredible attention to detail.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2017, John David Denton; and a daughter, Dewana Denton Gobel.
Joyce is survived by her daughter, Deana (and Roger) Davis; son, Darren (and Kim) Denton; grandchildren, Ashley, Adam, Sarah, Jason, and Forrest; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Steve (and Nancy) Little; and a sister, Rhea Duke.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at St. Paul United Methodist Church (1655 Allison Road, Piney Flats, TN 37686).
