Kenneth Vaughn Bryant, 82, Sevierville, TN died Saturday, July 28, 2007 at Sevierville, Hospital, Sevierville, TN. Mr. Bryant was a Mitchell County, NC native and had lived most of his life in Johnson City before moving to Sevierville. He was a son of the late Fred and Betty Barnett Bryant. One son, Steve Bryant, one sister, Brenda Blanton and one brother, Bill Bryant, preceded Mr. Bryant in death. He was a retired truck driver and a former employee of Mason/Dixon Truck Lines. Mr. Bryant was a member of First Church of the Brethren. He was a member of the Teamsters Union. Survivors include his wife, Lois Forbes Bryant; son, David Bryant and his wife, Carol, Sevierville, TN, ; Grandchildren, Erica Stacy, Aaron Bryant, Michael Kenealy; great grandchildren, Kaleb Stacy and Emma Stacy; son, Michael Bryant and his wife, Donna, Glasgow, KY; grandchildren, Jeremy, Natalie and Jonathan Bryant; great grandchild, Mackenzie Bryant; grandson, Justin Bryant; sisters, Star Bennett and Gail Griffith both of Mitchell County, NC; brother, Jim Bryant, Staunton, VA; Aunt, Hannah Bennett, Mitchell County, NC and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Mr. Bryant will be conducted at 8 PM Tuesday, July 31, 2007 from the Morris-Baker funeral Home South Chapel. Pastor Rufus Smith will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at Washington County Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 9:30 AM and travel in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jeremy Bryant, Michael Kenealy, Jonathan Bryant, Aaron Bryant and Justin Bryant. Frank Griffith will serve as an honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
