Kitty T. Cass

Kitty T. Cass, 94, Bristol, passed away Friday, January 25, 2019, at Brookdale Bristol, in Bristol, VA. Kitty was born in Bristol, TN to the late William Steven and Edith Calhoun Tanksley. In addition to her parents, Kitty was preceded in death by: her husband of 62 years, James R. Cass; two brothers, Robert L. Tanksley and Edward Tanksley; and one sister, Helen Moore. Survivors include: one daughter, Lisa Kuhnert; one son, David Cass; four grandchildren, Robin C. Cass, Lauren C. Hickey, Jonathan Kuhnert and Sarah Copeland; and three great grandchildren, Averie Cass, Evan Hickey and Teagan Copeland. A committal service will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, February 11, 2019, at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery gates by 11:20 to go in procession. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Kitty?s memory to Alzheimer?s Tennessee, Inc., an East Tennessee-based non-profit organization which provides informational resources and raises funds for research in the battle against Alzheimer?s.
