Larry Jones

Larry “Bones” Jones, 70 of Johnson City, died at his home on May 12, 2020. He was a native of Maryville, son of the late Roosevelt Cletes Jones, Jr. and Vera Alena Morgan Jones.

Larry was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the U. S. Marine Corps, later serving in the U. S. Army and following that, also served in the Army Reserves. Larry acquired "agent orange" and that caused many health problems over the years.

He was of Baptist faith and was a class of 1968 Alcoa High School graduate.

Larry enjoyed fishing, fast cars and scratchers.

He leaves many friends and cousins to cherish his memory.

Larry is to be cremated and interred at Mt. Home National Cemetery. A service to honor all those who passed and are interred at the cemetery during the Covid 19 pandemic will follow when available.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alcoa High School Alumni Organization, P. O. Box 157, Alcoa, TN 37701 would be appreciated.
