Laura Wilma Messer

Laura W. Messer, 86, of 609 Southview Drive, Johnson City, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Ardmore, Oklahoma, and a daughter of the late Milton and Ada Reed Warren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Warren Messer in 1979, three sisters, Inez Hood and Mattie Sadler and Ruby Earle; two brothers, Marvin Warren and Ross Warren, and one son, Ronny Messer. Mrs. Messer was a faithful member of the Apostolic Christian Church. Survivors include; one son, David T. Messer of Eufaula, OK; one daughter, Sue Phillips of Johnson City; five grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Castell, Deborah Messer, Michael Messer and Margi Story and Bud Story; two great grandchildren, Jamie Story and Laura Story; several nieces and nephews and many special, friends and neighbors. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m.in the Morris Baker Funeral Home South Chapel, Friday, October 7, 2005, Rev. Edward Davis will officiate. Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. in the Washington County Memory Gardens on Saturday. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home to go in procession at 9:30 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday.
