Lawrence Keith Fuji White

May 20, 1963 — October 25, 2005

Lawrence Keith 'Fuji' White, age 42, of Johnson City, Tennessee, stepped into eternity on October 25, 2005. Keith is a son of Alice F. White, of Johnson City, and Bob White and stepmother Sandy White, of Jonesborough, Tennessee. A native of Japan, he grew up in Johnson City, graduating from Science Hill High School, where he was an outstanding student and athlete. Keith was a fervent Christian who loved life and enjoyed immensely his walk with Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior. He was especially good with young people, teaching them in Bible study and coaching them in sports. Keith is affectionately known among his many friends as Fuji. One of the highlights of Keith?s life was a missionary trip to Romania, where he fell in love with the Romanian people and was a wonderful witness to the Lord Jesus. Keith is preceded in death by his adoptive mother, Peggy Widner White; paternal grandparents, Fred and Lucy White; maternal grandfather, Dave Beverly; and maternal grandmother, Lela Tyree. In addition to his parents, Keith is survived by his brother, David F. White and his wife, Kyme, of Knoxville, Tennessee; his niece, Saryn A. White, also of Knoxville; and his grandmother, Draxie A. Beverly, of Johnson City; his aunt and special uncle, Jim and Barbara Adkins; two special sons, Matthew and Michael, of Morganton, North Carolina; special friend, Beverly Crews, of Morganton, and stepbrother, Ben Hagy Jr., of Jonesborough; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
