Mrs. Lillie Iva Arnold, age 87, of Johnson City passed away peacefully into the arms of her savior Jesus Christ on August 6, 2012, at the Center On Aging and Health, Erwin. Mrs. Arnold was a native of Athens, Tennessee but lived the majority of her life in Johnson City. She was the daughter of the late, Alec and Sadie Ditmore. In addition to her parents her loving husband of fifty-seven years, JD Arnold eight sisters, Josephine, Rosie, Oda, Aileen, Viola, Redi, Marie and Myrtle; four brothers, Ed, Bob, Easley and Lowell Dean also preceded her in death. She retired from the Johnson City Memoral Hospital where she worked as a CNA for many years. Survivors include her two daughters, Judy Webb of Erwin, Janice Myer of Little Britton, PA; three sons, Jerry Arnold and his wife Shirley of Oxford, PA, James Arnold of Johnson City and Dennis Arnold and his wife Carol of Hockessin. DE., one sister, Lorraine Morris of Tellico, Tennessee; two brothers, Roy Ditmore of Sanford, CT and John Ditmore of Isle of Palms, SC.; as well as many grandchildren; great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews and couisins. The family would like to express a special 'Thank You'? to the staff of the Center On Aging and Health in Erwin for the care that they have provided for the past twelve years. The funeral service for Mrs. Lillie Iva Arnold will be conducted at 8 PM Tuesday, August 7, 2012 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Pastor Steve Rice will officiate. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 1 PM Wednesday in the Snyders Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 12:15 to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday prior the service.
