Linda Jean Hickman

Linda Jean Hickman, 60, 106 Guy Street, died Sunday, January 14, 2007 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Hickman was a native of St. Paul VA and had lived in Johnson City most of her life. She was a daughter of the late Wiley and Ethel Mae Byrd Stewart. Mrs. Hickman was preceded in death by: four brothers, Earl Stewart, Wiley Stewart, Jr., Robert Brady Stewart and Manuel Stewart and three sisters, Liza Robinson, Rita Weeks, and Frances Dean. She was retired from Leon Ferenbach. Mrs. Hickman was a member of Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Michael Hampton and his wife, Teresa, William Salts and his wife, Anna all of Johnson City; four brothers, John Stewart and David Stewart both of Johnson City, William Stewart, Jonesborough and Jimmy Stewart, Kingsport; three sisters, Brenda Hensdill, Linda?s twin sister, of Johnson City, Alice Marie Scott, Jonesborough, and Ruth Ward, Ohio; five grandchildren; Jon and Jessie Frazier, Amanda, Thomas and Cassi Evans and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Mrs. Hickman will be conducted at 1 PM Wednesday, January 17, 2007 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home North Chapel. Dr. Gene Lasley will officiate. Graveside services will follow at Washington County Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Jon Frazier, Thomas Evans, Buddy Lane, Jeff Metcalf, Jeff Ramsey, William Stewart and Leroy Sheppard II. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Cable, Charles Byrd and Alan Stewart. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
