'Be still, and know that I am God.'? Psalm 46:10 Lois Jeanette Patterson Brown was called to her heavenly home on Monday, January 12, 2015, in Franklin Woods Community Hospital. Jeanette was born in Johnson City, TN and was the daughter of the late Craig Patterson and Bertha Lee Jackson Patterson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, James 'Jimmy'? Patterson and Timothy Ray Patterson. Jeanette was a longstanding member of Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by: her husband of fifty-nine years, Ralph Brown, Jr.; one daughter, Jamie Brown Parks, and husband Jimmy, of Johnson City, TN; a special son, Drew Garland, and wife Alison, of Memphis, TN; one very special granddaughter, Maddie Garland; two sisters, Charlotte Smith, and husband Charles, and Sharon Nance; three brothers, Rev. David Patterson, and wife Jean, Steve Patterson, and wife Tammy, and Larry Patterson. The family would like to thank Dr. Farrow, Dr. Garcia, Dr. Ebeo, and Dr. Yousef. A special thank you to the nurses, respiratory therapist, and staff of the ICU. Your love and compassion was truly a reflection of Gods love. The family of Lois Jeanette Patterson Brown will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Thursday, January 15, 2015, in the Morris-Baker Chapel. The funeral service will follow with Pastor Paul Crowe officiating. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 11 AM Friday, in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from the members of Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 AM Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
